Irving St., Somerville ~ Ornate Victorian detail.
"In 2020-2021 we hired Ben Brown Builders for the complete interior and exterior gut/ remodel of a home in Somerville, originally built in the 1880s. We also added a side addition, a dormer, decks, and lowered the basement floor to waterproof and finish it. Ben was amazing to work with and pulled off a very complicated project in the face of many constraints. We absolutely love the result, and friends and neighbors who we’ve given tours to (including contractors and architects) have been blown away by the quality of the workmanship and attention-to-detail."

"Not only was our large addition finished on time and on budget, it was filled with all sorts of crafty details we wouldn't have expected. Ben and the great guys from Ben Brown Builders were fantastic to work with from the beginning of the project straight through to its completion. Our project was a sizable one and fairly daunting at the onset, but they helped us manage the details and costs, and any issues that arose during construction were resolved quickly and professionally. We decided to live in the house through the renovation which could have been difficult for our family and pets, but the guys were very mindful of our needs and kept the job site very clean which was a huge relief. The collective input from Ben Brown Builders combined with our vision helped us transform a small and tired farm-house into a lovely 3000 sq ft home that reflects who we are and how we like to live. We look forward to having Ben back to work on future projects."

"We rely on Ben Brown Builders for all of our important construction projects. With all of the potential stresses of home improvement, it is an enormous relief not to have to worry about contractor problems. Their workmanship is first-rate and they are dependable, trustworthy, helpful and friendly. Ben makes us feel that the results of the projects are as important to him as they are to us. In the course of each project he has made suggestions, both structural and aesthetic, that have improved the end results. We have recommended Ben Brown Builders to friends, family and acquaintances many times and will continue to do so."
